On the North Shore of Tahoe, right on the State borders sits the mysterious Cal-Nevada Lodge.
Lodge employees and ghost investigators tell tales of hauntings by the Shaman (the Washoe indians were believed to summer here on their ancestral land), former owner Frank Sinatra and Marilyn Monroe who attempted suicide here just weeks before she died. In 2007, KTVN—accompanied by TMCC's 2007 ghost conference speakers—conducted a journalistic investigation into paranormal activities at the site. Amazingly enough, the group saw a television remote levitate in Frank Sinatra's cabin and captured voices through electronic voice phenomena that are believed to be Sinatra and Monroe.
